Heir to a Mighty Life
Citizens of creation:
If you happen to lose your will to fight,
For your born right to an excellent life,
The only mistake you can then make,
Is to, beyond reasonable doubt,
Question your ability.
Anything, you presently care to do with yourself,
Is 1st made by a decision born in your heart,
Then forged with your hands.
From the embers of your ancient courage,
A willful lack of indecision may just fan,
The flames that incinerate your regrets.
Never is there a reason,
To abandon your desire to thrive,
Or neglect to remember,
That the same dream,
Unique to your heart,
Is yet felt by all that live.
This bond must not be forgotten,
For it unites us all,
As one common sum of desires,
Combined by each of us,
Whose very existence is to see,
Our dreams come to pass.
This, our shared wish,
May be driven by,
Your duty to defy,
The allure of resting on your laurels.
For sloth may invite the devil's duty to feast,
Upon your heart.
It is wiser not to judge,
Nor deem life's moments evil.
For your form is pure as gold,
Though not by your design,
As is your mortal life,
Which is yours to define.
For the love of your kin,
And kind,
May thee ever shine.
